Very lucky to live in Snowdonia and very much enjoying the adventures on the Slate Trail. We’ve done all parts local to us – Cwm Penmachno to Llyn Ogwen – in various round walks and did Bangor to Bethesda at the weekend. Thank you Llwybr Llechi Eryri!
Finished the Trail on Friday. An incredible combination of landscape and history, with physical and mental challenge thrown in too! Loved it, though hadn’t expected quite how much ascent was involved…. Did it over 6.5 days, so an average of 700+m a day.

Thank you so much for taking me to such beautiful parts ❤️
We wanted to say thank you so much for all the work put into the Trail and hope that our small donation is of help in maintaining it for others to enjoy as much as we did.
Met a couple of happy campers today doing the slate trail, they asked if I could send their thanks on to you as they are loving the trail. They said they started with at least three other couples (although they’ve all separated out now), so I thought you’d like to know all your work is being appreciated.

I really enjoyed the trail, a lot more than I thought I would (think the weather helped!
One of my favourite views on the trail was this old quarry pool, although it was such a hard choice as the scenery was stunning!
Well I finished the Trail on Sunday. Took me 6 days and I camped most of it, with a couple of pub B&Bs between. A fantastic trail with amazing scenery and history. Also very very quiet. I didn’t meet a single other trail hiker whilst I was walking.
