Snowdonia slate stories

Here are short audio clips of stories told firsthand by people who have lived with and worked in the slate quarries. These will add unique insights and colour to your experience of walking the Snowdonia Slate Trail. This was an intergenerational project and we are grateful to the staff and pupils of the following schools and organisations for helping to run the ‘Stuff and Story sharing’ sessions in their schools and centres:
Ysgol Llanllechid,
Ysgol Waun Gynfi,
Ysgol Y Groeslon,
Ysgol Maenofferen,
Ysgol Penmachno
Canolfan y Fron.

We are indebted to the following for being so ready to share their memories – we hope you will enjoy the stories as much as we enjoyed compiling them.
