Porth Penrhyn
All along the way we were treated to spectacular scenery from – Swans and Herons in Porth Penrhyn, tree lined Cegin Valley, riverside and green fileds along the Afon Ogwen from Cochwillan Mill to Half Way Bridge. We found a really pleasant spot on the riverbank below Half Way Bridge to take a break and enjoy the sunshine.

Original Penrhyn Tramway bridge over Afon Cegin
As a Club we regularly walk in the Ogwen valley but, the path from Half Way Bridge past Llanchechid church to the slopes of Moel Faban were totally new to us – Which was great.
We really enjoyed this section. The path was well waymarked and the walk directions in the guidebook were easy to follow. Really looking forward to continuing the journey. Bethesda to Waunfawr next.
